Crystal Report Barcode - For An Effective Crystal Report

Crystal report barcode plays an important part in the success of any business organization. Printing bar codes in crystal reports is not a difficult task. It can be done by using barcode fonts and User Function Library (UFL). UFL is actually a plugin that is used to create UPC barcode, Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes, Code 39 barcode and Code 128 barcodes inside the crystal report.

When an individual purchases a barcode font package, he gets a UFL that combines font with the project of crystal report. Creation of barcodes can broadly be divided into two parts:

- Passing the data onto the UFL

- Formatting of the value that has been returned in any one of the given fonts

The UFL attaches the stop bars and start bars, maps the production in the character set of given fonts, and makes calculation for any important check digits. The UFL can also be employed in Business Objects XI, MAS200, MAS90, along with various other products that utilize the Crystal Reports engine.
